One Solitary Life

He was born in an obscure village. He worked in a carpenter shop until he was thirty.

He then became an itinerant preacher.

He never held an an office.

He never had a family   or owned a house. He didn't go to college.

He had no credentials but himself.

Nineteen centuries have come and gone, and today he is the central figure of the human race.

All the armies that ever marched,
and all the navies that ever sailed,
all the parliaments that ever sat,
and all the kings that ever reigned
have not affected the life of man
on this earth as much as that..

Note:  While going through a box of letters, etc, after my Mother's death,
I came across this picture with the essay above on the back of it.
It is so beautiful that I had to make this page in honor of our Lord and in remembrance
of how much my Mother loved the Lord, and taught her five children also of his love.
I don't know where she got the picture with the essay on the back,  I have touched it up
a bit as it was crackled and some of the colors off of it.

From what I can gather on the web,  this is the original essay by
Dr James Allan Francis in “The Real Jesus and Other Sermons” © 1926
by the Judson Press of Philadelphia
